ACTIVATE 2019

In October, many River City agents had the pleasure of attending Activate 2019 an amazing RE/MAX convention that took place in Banff Alberta. 

Most industries have conferences, conventions and other networking/education opportunities for industry specialists but the difference between Active and other real estate industry events is that it is a RE/MAX specific event exclusively for RE/MAX real estate agents, brokers and staff.  Being at an event specifically for our community always comes with special moments and memories, one is that you can literally startup conversation with anyone and meet a positive, friendly REMAXer from other places and feel a connection, learn about them, their city and often get an invite to come to visit their city or stay with them! This is RE/MAX. 

A few of the highlights of the event include:
1. Being surrounded by so many like-minded industry leaders. RE/MAX attracts the best of the best and events like this give the opportunity to for networking, learning and growing from all of these friendly, opening, motivated people. 

2. RE/MAX is an industry leader and now with a much larger focus on online, apps, technology and innovation they are continuing to push themselves to grow and expand in those areas all with the right philosophy, technology empowers and leverages the trust and expertise level relationships we have with our clients, it doesn’t replace it.

3. The calibre of the speakers was excellent to say the very least. The ability to bring speakers of the quality experienced would be difficult for a local brokerage because of budget.

RE/MAX River City showed up in a big way at Active this year as we had three people speaking and presenting on panels. John Carter – Owner/Broker spoke on a panel on “Effective use of Social Media”, Juli Wegner spoke on two panels: “Marketing to Millennials” & “Mansions, Penthouses and Estates” as well as “SMART Networking Icebreakers” at the first-ever Yong Leaders Network  (YLN) – LIT – Learn, Innovate, Transform.  Sarah Leib also spoke at the Yong Leaders Network event “Top Producers Panel”. The River City family is so proud to have such inspiring, driven and brave people in our community represent us so well. 

One great trend take away: Video, video, video! It’s the future in our industry and so many agents are using it in such innovative ways to further enhance the in personal relationships with their clients and community. 

Active 2019 brought out the best of the successful agents and brokers in our network to collaborate and inspire each other; we look forward to seeing all of our friends next year in Quebec City, for Activate 2020 and soon at R4 2020 (RE/MAX Internation Conference)
