2022 Charity Donations from REMAX River City Edmonton, AB

2022 was an amazing year for many people, including some of our agents, unfortunately for others, 2022 was filled with stress and the residual effects of the pandemic. The spring started the year off with low-interest rates and high demand but as the year went on, rates increased and that trickle-down has impacted many people and families in our community. Knowing this, our agents have given back more than any year previously and worked hard to raise extra funds through various events.

Our office is “Sold on Giving” this means that every REMAX River City agent gives a portion of every real estate transaction goes to charity, and agents have the ability to choose who they want to support.

2022 Donations

• Children's Miracle Network (The Stollery) - $175,825

• Realtors Community Foundation $26,580

  - Summer Party Raised - $10,500 - Directed to YESS- Youth Empowerment & Support Services  & Ukrainian Canadian Congress

  - Christmas Party Raised - $9,180 - Directed to Little Warriors

  - Donations by agents -$6,900

• Sold on a Cure - Breast Cancer - $2,150

• Additional charitable support - $1,980

The Children’s Miracle Network (The Stollery Edmonton) was our largest donation ($175,825) REMAX River City is what is known as a Miracle office with Miracle Agents. We have seen firsthand the good that The Stollery does with our donations and how many families are impacted by the work they do, the #RiverCityFamily and our clients are grateful for you. 

The Realtors Community Foundation with a total of $26,580 This year we had an great Baseball experience at REMAX Field where we where about to raise money for Ukrainian Canadian Congress, YESS - Youth Empowerment & Support Services ($10,500) and our Holiday Party raised $$9,850 with the addition of our agents Sold on Giving support we were able to donate more then we have in the past. 

   

We had many agents and teams go above and beyond with their fundraising efforts and support for causes close to their hearts like Kerri-lyn Holland with support for breast cancer and Yeg Property Pro supporting The MS Society.  

Being part of the real estate community means we think about homes, families and connections all the time and knowing that many people are struggling to keep a roof over their heads and food on their tables and some are trying to thrive through illness and trauma this continues to motivate us to always be working to give back and raise awareness for causes near and dear to our hearts.
